George Heiser

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield for George Allen Heiser of Eugene. He died Oct. 26 of cancer at age 58. A committal service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

He was born May 22, 1950, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., to George and Isabella Werner Heiser. He married Katharine Perrault on Oct. 5, 1979.

Heiser served in the Air Force for four years, including in Vietnam, and in the Army National Guard for eight years. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years.

Survivors include his wife; his father, of New York; a son, Billy of Eugene; two daughters, Tabitha Heiser and Tiffany Heiser, both of Eugene; a sister, Robin Werner, and a brother, Richard, both of New York; and eight grandchildren.
