Naipua Allen
SPRINGFIELD — Naipua Allen of Springfield died March 20 of cancer. She was 67. No service is planned.
She was born June 9, 1941, in American Samoa to Tapuvae and Lemalu Togia Faatiliga. She married Earl Allen in 1973 in California.
She held a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She worked as a certified nurse assistant in hospitals and care centers in the Los Angeles area, including 40 years at Sunnyside Nursing Center in Torrance, Calif.
Survivors include three sons, Lincoln Barit of Hawaii, Raymond Yohe of Los Angeles and William Yohe of Salem; three daughters, Julie Barit of West Virginia, Maryann Lewis of Elmira and Debra Scanlan of Springfield; two sisters, Fuatai Weeks of Los Angeles and Palolo Hiner of West Virginia; a brother, Tapuvae Faatiliga of American Samoa; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1992. A daughter, Esther Stone and a son, Ralph Yohe, died previously.

Jus wanted to tell my Aunty that i love her and miss her,she was a very kind and understanding aunty that always helped me and my brothers and sisters when we were very young at that time when my parents was going thru a Divorce we had nowere to live but out of all her brothers & sisters she was the one to take us in and took very good care of us she never forgot my birthday and she would know sometimes when i cant sleep at nite cause i miss my parents, she would tell me dont worry because she would be there for me and wait till i fall asleep my aunty was the best and i well miss her.

There’s not a day that goes by or a thing that doesn’t remind me of you .The woman who raised me and my three brothers and taught us respect love and loyalty . I love you more than words can express I miss you MaMo so much . You will always be apart of my and Paula life you were a grandmother to her too.Forever will you’re memories be engraved in our hearts , and I won’t say goodbye because ill see you one day when we both meet each other in heaven with our lord .
