Charles Eddings

Charles Andrew Eddings passed away April 26, 2009.  He was 82.

Mr. Eddings was born January 27, 1927 in Hickory Flat, Mississippi to James and RosaMae (Thompson) Eddings.  He married Clara Wallace in Leggett, California in 1948.

After graduating from high school, he served in the Army during WWII.  When he returned home he became a minister and was self-employed in the logging industry.

He is survived by his children, Molly Hawkins of Eugene,Oregon,  Rosie Fredrickson of Prineville, Oregon,  Susan Brougher of Springfield, Oregon, Charles Eddings II of Willamina, Oregon and James Eddings of Vancouver, Washington; by his siblings, Edward Eddings of California, Alice Weatherly and Leathie Houston, both of Mississippi and Tom Eddings of Arkansas; and by eleven much-loved grandkids and four treasured great-grandkids.  He was preceded in death by Clara on January 3, 2001.

A funeral will be held Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm at New Life Church in Springfield, Oregon.   Burial will be held at 3:30 pm at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Oregon.  Andreason’s Cremation & Burial Service in charge of arrangements.
