Dorothy Frances Jack

April 16, 2009

Dorothy Frances Jack was born September 13, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Elmer and Mary Walker.  She was one of six children.

Dorothy and Frederick William Jack eloped to Virginia on July 9, 1934 because she was underage in Pennsylvania.  Her folks were horrified because she was only 16, but it must have been meant to be because they had been married for over 65 years when he passed away in 1997.

She was a devoted wife and mother and a faithful member of the South Hills Congregation of the Jovah’s Witnesses.  A very spiritual lady, faith and service to God were always in central her life.

Dorothy rejoined Fred on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, a few days after a stroke.  She was 91, and the last member of that generation in that family.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Fred W. Jack Jr. and Carol A. Siebert; and by five much-loved grandkids and seven treasured greatgrandkids.
