Robert Wilhite

Robert Michael Wilhite was born October 4, 1941 in Nampa, Idaho to William and Aluta (Nelson) Wilhite.  He married Linda Robinson on January 1, 1962 in John Day, Oregon.

In his younger years he worked in auto parts sales, and loved it.  In 1971 he moved to Hawaii and sold insurance for a while.  In 1975 he became a purchasing manager with C. Brewer Co.  In later years he became a contract administrator for airport and highway development.  Bob had a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Templeton University. 

Bob passed away April 24, 2009 from the effects of cancer.  He was just 67.  He was a great guy with a terrific sense of humor, and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; by his children, Bob Jr. of Eugene, Sherrie Brittig of Ohio, Deborah Van Cleave of Chula Vista, California and Christopher of Springfield; by his mother, Mrs. Aluta Wilhite of Meridian, Idaho; his sister Peggie Stricklin of Meridian, Idaho and by two grandkids and six step-grandkids.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9th at 3:00 pm at River Road Baptist Church in Eugene.  Andreason’s Cremation & Burial Service (485-6659) is assisting the family with arrangements.
