Joyce Fry

BLUE RIVER — A funeral and celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, for Joyce Colleen Fry of Blue River, who died June 6 of age-related causes at age 82. The service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ 66th Street chapel in Thurston. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Springfield Memorial Gardens.

She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Shelley, Idaho, to Thomas and Olive Senn Johnson. She and Jack Fry had a civil marriage on July 3, 1952, in Las Vegas, and their marriage was sealed on April 15, 1975, in Oakland, Calif. He died Dec. 25, 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Fry-Hadden of Blue River; a son, Howard Asher of San Diego; a sister, Bonnie Tanner of La Habra, Calif.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
