Norman Husser Sr.

SPRINGFIELD — Norman H. Husser Sr. of Springfield died June 6 of a stroke at age 89. No service is planned.

He was born Feb. 13, 1920, in Hus- ser, La. He married Jean Fannaly on Sept. 21, 1952, in Poncha­tou­la, La.

He served in the Air Force during World War II, and was discharged as a sergeant in 1945. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1949. He served as chief accountant for Edward Hines Lumber Co. in Westfir, accountant for Westfir Lane Development Co., and manager of the Little Creek Cove condominiums in Newport.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Norman Jr. of Seattle, Kevin of Livermore, Calif., David of Westfir and Gerald of Toledo; a daughter, Lois MacLennan of Tigard; a sister, Lois Dowling of Hammond, La.; and four grandchildren.
