Donald Roshone, Sr.
A celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Dexter Baptist Church, 38750 Dexter Road for Donald Roshone, Sr., of Dexter, who died July 7 due to pulmonary disease and renal failure. He was 74.
He was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Forsyth, Mo., to Ed and Ida Mae (Bills) Roshone. He and Illa Newman were married Aug. 20, 1965, in Vancouver, Wash. He drove a logging truck for years and also drove gravel trucks. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, from 1957-59.
Survivors include his wife; sons Donald Roshone, Jr., of Salem, and David Roshone of Eugene; daughters Leona Solano of Salem, Donna Cloinger of Husum, Wash., Connie Farr of Gresham, and Tina Huber of Veneta; brothers Elmer Roshone, Sr., of Huntington, and Charles Roshone of The Dalles; and 14 grandchildren.
