Leona Forrester

VIDA — Leona “Lea” Forrester of Vida died July 7 of age-related causes at age 91. No service is planned.

She was born June 22, 1918, in Victoria, Texas, to Ernest and Bertha Pounders Ko-hutek.

She married Arnold John Lee Forrester on June 5, 1951, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He died June 16, 1992.

She provided child care, took in laundry, did bicycle repair and worked as an injection mold operator, making automobile and industrial parts, for Crown City Plating.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzan Sturman of Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Janett Forrester of Vida; and eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, Jack and James, died previously.

Arrangements by Andreason’s Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. Remembrances to Northshore Animal League.
