Marion Adams Jr.

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held later for Marion “Bob” Adams, Jr. of Springfield, who died July 5 of age-related causes. He was 85.

He was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Spring­field, to Marion and Ida Adams. He married Bobbie Taylor on Sept. 21, 1947, in Springfield.

Adams served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He graduated from Springfield High School and attended the University of Oregon. He was the owner and operator of Adams Feed Store for 64 years and served as a city councilor.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Marion “Rob” Adams III, and Richard, both of Springfield; daughters Amy Ball, of Cres­well, and Sandy McLean of Springfield; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Remembrances to First Christian Church, Springfield; the Diabetes Foundation; or Project Share of the Springfield Utility Board. Arrangements by Andreason’s Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield.
