Mary Mallien-Comeford

Mary Mallien-Comeford, passed into God?s loving arms on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at the gentle age ?of 83.

Our most loving mother was preceded in death by her former husband, Neil, her parents, Jean and Frank Mallien and her brothers, Thomas and James Mallien. She is survived by her very dear sister, Frances Wuerl of AZ, her sister-in-law, Dorothy ?Mallien of AZ, her three daughters; Jeanne M. ?Comeford (Zig Schuessler) of MN, Catherine Comeford (Larry) of OR and Patricia A. Comeford (Bob Hollway) of AZ/MN. She also is survived by her three amazing grandchildren that were undeniably the delight of her life; Jocelyn, Nicholas and Jack.

Her many friends described her as a ?beautiful soul?; a most unselfish woman; full of empathy, love and compassion. Her sense of humor and radiant smile were a joy to all who knew her, even in the face of great physical pain. She had a special gift of non-verbal communication; her special grace and dignity, as well as her beautiful eyes, all of which could convey special thoughts and love to all. Mary attended Holy Angels Academy and studied Library Science at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mary put her whole heart into raising her 3 girls. A devoted mother, she was a wonderful influence in each of our lives, on many levels.

Mary, had a special fondness for poetry, music, dogs, bunnies, anything ?vanilla? flavored, cheesecake and Charles Schultz?s ?Snoopy?. Her favorite flower was lily-of-the valley. Deep-felt thanks to the devoted group of caretakers, nurses, etc at RiverPark Nursing Home that cared for her throughout her last yrs; they were her second family and cared for her as if she was their own. Special thanks to her hospice team as well. To all of Mary?s friends & family who still grace this planet, she sends you her dearest love.
