Sandra Renfroe

A memorial celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Wilson Creek Park in Cottage Grove, for Sandra K. “Sandy” Renfroe of Cottage Grove, who died Aug. 21 of cancer. She was 56.

She was born May 8, 1953, in La Grande, to Henry and Irene (Dixson) Thomas. She married Edward Renfroe on May 14, 1991, in Reno, Nev.

Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Angie Renfroe of Nampa, Idaho, Rosa Chamberlain of Dallas, Ore., Michele Swenson of Springfield, Claudia Harrelson of Cottage Grove, and Donna Merritt and Elizabeth Walton, both of Lakewood, Wash.; a son, Eddie Renfroe of Oregon; a sister, Jan Bagley of Canby; two brothers, Ronald Thomas of Reedsport and Berry Summers of Elgin; and 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
