Joe & Marion Henderson

Joe & Marion Henderson

Dear Jeffrey and associates:

Many times ya’ll don’t get to meet the people you are helping to take care of.  So…may I introduce you to my parents–Joe and Marion.

He was a red-headed Texan and she was a Nebraskan girl.  When my mom went to a fair as a teen, she had her palm read and was told “you will meet a tall, light-haired man and do a lot of traveling.”  They met in Las Vegas on a blind date and were soon married in 1942.  I figured out that they lived in 14 states.  Daddy was in the Air Force for 21 years and she worked in retail fabrics (she made all of my sister and myself’s clothes).  He enjoyed working on his cars, hunting and fishing.  My mom took classes in oil painting and was in art goups for over 3 decades–our walls are covered with her artwork treasures.

No matter how old we are, when we have lost both parents, we become orphans.  We never “get over it”, but come to remember more happy memories and less memories about whatever it was that we were unhappy about.

Love your family and friends like there’s no tomorrow–because there might not be one.

Love, Peggy and Family

  • How do I send a condolence?

At the bottom of this page, you will find a condolence form. You will need to fill out some basic information prior to typing your message. (We will not share your e-mail address with anyone) Once you are finished, simply click the submit condolence button.

We also provide a Tell-A-Friend feature located directly below these instructions. This form allows you to send the obituary to a friend. This is particularly helpful to someone who may live out of town.
