Barbara Spencer

Barbara Maxine Dewart Spencer, of Springfield, Oregon died Oct 23rd of congestive heart failure at the age of 80. 

She was born Jan 30, 1929, in Lindsay, California, to Beatrice Lillian (Midge) and Irvin Allen (Jumbo) Dewart.  She married Stewart Spencer, Jr on June 2nd, 1945 in Upton, Massachusetts.  He died July 9th  1979 in Santa Cruz, California. 

They lived their married life and raised daughters Gayle Spencer Moore of California, Diane Jaydean Chord of Springfield, and Kathryn Louise Sinnott of Monroe in the Watsonville and Santa Cruz areas of California. 

Barbara moved to Springfield in 2000 to be near her grand-children.  She loved to garden, crochet afghans, work cross-word puzzles and tell family stories.  But more than anything, she just loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by one brother, William Irvin Dewart of Grants Pass, her three daughters, eight grand-children:  Scott Moore, Allyson Moore, Jennifer Little Ivey, Rebecca Livingston-Stone, Michael Lehmann, Amanda Sinnott, Amber Sinnott, Christian Sinnott and ten great-grand-children:  Samantha Little, Melissa Little, Matthew Little, Wesley Livingston, Willy Livingston, Evan Stone, Deanna Stone, Garrett Lehmann, Amelia Lehmann and Olivia Sinnott. 

A private family Memorial Service was held Sunday, October 25th, at the family home in Springfield.
