Michelle Schafer

Michelle Lynn Schafer was born Nov. 7, 1963, in Odessa, Texas, to Marvin and Pauline McCray Pedersen. She married Mike Schafer in Saginaw on Sept. 2, 2007.

She worked for PacificSource as a support specialist in the provider network.

Michelle died Oct. 24 at age 45.  She leaves behind Mike; her parents; a grandmother, Susie Jane Pitts; a daughter, Krista McCray of Springfield; and two brothers, David Timothy McCray of Saginaw and Ruffus Delwayne McCray of Cottage Grove.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Remembrances may be made to Oregon Health Sciences University cancer research.
