A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Eugene for Enrique Baltazar of Eugene, who died Oct. 23 at age 47.
He was born March 2, 1962, in Tamacuaro, Guerrero, Mexico, to Simon and Juana Renteria Baltazar. He married Paulita Diaz.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Daisy Baltazar of Eugene; three sons, Enrique, Jr., Tomas and Edgar Baltazar, all of Eugene; brothers and sisters in Mexico; and two grandchildren.

Barry Christopher Morgan, of Eugene, died Oct. 21 of cancer. He was 62.
He was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Manchester, England, to Michael and Joyce Tutt Noakes. He married Jacqueline Pollard in November 2000 in Hastings, England.
He was a finance officer with National Westminster Bank in London and Oxfordshire, England, for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his parents of St. Leonard’s, England; a son, Alexander Morgan of Seaford, England; a brother, Alan Morgan of St. Leonard’s; and a sister, Marge Morgan, of St. Leonard’s.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Glenwood Church in Eugene for Harold LeRoy “Chip” Singleton of Springfield, who died Oct. 17 as the result of a pedestrian-vehicle accident. He was 54.
He was born Dec. 24, 1954, in Roseburg, to Buster and Betty Steele Restoule.
He worked at Foster Farms in Creswell for many years and also as a tree planter and a logger.
Survivors include a daughter, P.J. Singleton of Washington; three sons, Skyler, Ethan and Joshua Singleton; a sister, Jackie Cornell of Springfield; a brother, Rick Whited of Springfield; and two sisters in Roseburg.

Paul Pfeiffer

Paul E. Pfeiffer of Eugene died Oct. 11 of age-related causes. He was 91. No service is planned.
He was born Dec. 17, 1917, in Niles, Ohio, to Herbert and Pauline Edell Pfeiffer. He married Nina Margaret Lombard Nov. 11, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio. She died April 6, 2001.
He attended College of Toledo in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946, stationed in Italy during World War II. He served in the Army Reserves from 1946 to 1953.
He worked as an industrial engineer in the Toledo area. He retired from Pinkerton after 23 years.

David Kivela

David Allen Kivela of Springfield died Oct. 21, of complications from a stroke. He was 67. No service is planned.
He was born Dec. 19, 1941, in Spokane, to Elmer and Ruth Kivela. He married Marilyn Lyons Nov. 25, 1985, in Reno, Nev.
He served in the U.S. Navy, and worked at Georgia Pacific.
Survivors included his wife; two sons, Scott and Brian, both of Springfield; a sister, Bev Sager of Springfield; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Daryl Hober Jr.

Daryl M. Hober Jr. passed away October 21 of complications from pneumonia.
Daryl was born to Daryl M. Sr. and Dorothy Brown Hober.
Daryl also known as DJ loved life. His infectious smile was always felt wherever he went. Daryl had a great sense of humor, enjoyed camping, traveling, spending time with his families, anything that involved transportation. Daryl’s dream was to become a truck driver. That was his goal in life. Daryl was very independent given his limited abilities. Daryl learned to ride the bus often riding the bus to Creswell to go to Creswell Christian Center where he grew up. Daryl later attended the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Ward 6 in Eugene, OR.
Daryl attended school up to 5th grade in Creswell, OR, from 6-12 he attended school in the 4J school district. Graduating from Sheldon’s Life Skills program in 2007. Daryl also attended Sheldon’s Community Living Program.
Daryl is survived by his Mother Dorothy and by two sisters Edith Hober Ruth and Rebecca Hober, both of Creswell, OR. Grandmothers Nita Brown and Sandy Hober. Daryl was preceded in death by his father Daryl M. Hober Sr. and his grandfather Daryl Bryce Hober.
Daryl had two families that shared his zest for life. Each striving to help fulfill goals that he and ourselves all wanted to see him achieve. His wonderfully gracious care providers Mike and Kandy Spencer , Avery Johnson-Spencer and their very extensive family. These people are his second family and we will be eternally grateful for all they have done for Daryl all these years.
A celebration of life will be held at Sheldon High School in Eugene, OR on Sunday November 8 from 12:30-4p.m. The Hober and Spencer families invite you to the home of Mike and Kandy Spencer at 1966 Minda Drive, Eugene, OR for continued celebration of DJ’s life refreshments will be provided.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Creswell Christian Center for David Wayne Wright of Cottage Grove, who died Oct. 18 at age 53.
He was born Oct. 18, 1956, in Roswell, N.M., to James and Sharon Golla Wright.
He was a career military man, serving in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army, the Army Reserves and the Oregon National Guard.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Sharon Wright of Cottage Grove; his parents; two sons, Nicholas Wright, who is stationed in Kuwait, and Daniel Wright of Cottage Grove; two daughters, Felicia Wright of Creswell and Cassandra Wright of Cottage Grove; and two sisters, Theresa Sisco of Eugene and Patti Wright of Springfield.

Larence B. “Larry” Pifer of Florence died Oct. 12 of age-related causes. He was 88. No service is planned.
He was born April 4, 1921, in Arkansas, to William and Myrtle Pifer. He married Vivian I. Pifer in 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Indianapolis. He later worked as a baker and pastry chef.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bill Pifer of Nevada and Larry D. Pifer of Washington; a daughter, Linda Booche of Washington; two stepsons, Ron Gibson and Larry Gibson, both of Oregon; two brothers, Kenneth Pifer of Washington and J.C. Pifer of California; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Trent Church of Christ in Dexter for Phillip Clapp of Springfield, who died Oct. 20 of congestive heart failure and pulmonary fibrosis. He was 66.
He was born Feb. 7, 1943, in Oregon City to Benjamin and Olive Woodcock Clapp. He married Verla Meink Sept. 2, 1962, in Cloverdale, Ore.
He graduated from Nestucca Union High School.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; three daughters, Traci Linn Coltrane of Dexter, Cynthia Marie of Springfield and Suzana Clapp of Eugene; a son, Craig Clapp of Howell, Mich.; two sisters, Linda Clapp of Cloverdale, Calif., and Lora Ann Aleshire of Gig Harbor, Wash.; a brother, Curtis Clapp of Raymond, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield for Donald Wayne Zebroff of Springfield, who died Oct. 13 in an accident. He was 59. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Buell Funeral Chapel.
Don was born June 4, 1950, in Caspar, Calif., to Nicholas and Irene Blumenthal Zebroff.
He graduated from Trinity High School in Weaverville, Calif. He was a construction contractor, and had most recently been working in an orchard.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Richard of Arcata, Calif.; a brother, Ron Zebroff; a sister, Alisa Jensen; and one granddaughter.
