Bertilla Powell

The funeral Mass will be at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eugene for Bertilla “Berdie” Powell of Eugene, who died Jan. 22 of age-related causes. She was 86.

She was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Meire Grove, Minn., to William and Frances Marke Otte. She married Robert Powell in 1944 in Eugene. He died Dec. 28, 1975.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Kelm, Bobbi Powell and Kathy Powell, all of Eugene; a son, Alan of Eugene; three sisters, Rose Bromen and Adeline Silbernick, both of Sauk Centre, Minn., and Ellie Rae of Eugene; and three grandsons and two great-grandsons.
