Rosa “Monk” Sims of Springfield died Jan. 15 of age-related causes. She was 105. No service is planned.
She was born Nov. 7, 1904, in Heavener, Okla., to William and Alice Powers Smith. She married William Sims on Oct. 4, 1925, in Howe, Okla. He died previously.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Clarence of Springfield; a daughter, Thelma Heyer of El Granada, Calif.; a brother, Amos Smith of Lindsay, Okla.; a sister, Cara Smith Mann of Corcoran, Calif.; and several generations of grandchildren.

Rollan “Ro” Scott Perkins of Eugene died Jan. 11 of cancer at age 62. No service is planned.
He was born Jan. 20, 1947, in Seattle to Owen and Betty Wallace Perkins. He married Kathy Gottfried on Sept. 25, 1993, in Eugene.
Survivors in-clude his wife; two sons, Sean Perkins of Portland and Justin Gottfried of Salem; and one granddaughter.
Earl Knight

Earl Robert Knight of Eugene died Jan. 16 of cancer. He was 65. No service is planned.
He was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Teaneck, N.J., to Earl W. and Ruth Young Knight. He married Linda Christensen on Aug. 13, 1977, in San Diego.
He graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy in New Jersey in 1962, and from Michigan State University in 1967. He worked as a community organizer, land use planner and property developer.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Daemon of Walterville and Curtis of Bend; a brother, Richard of Titusville, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

Marcia E. Golla of Eugene died Jan. 13 of cancer. She was 62.
She was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Silverton to Ray and Ruth James Houser. She married James Golla on April 5, 1969, in Salem.
She graduated from South Salem High School and worked as a housekeeper at Farmington Square Assisted Living in Eugene.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Scott of Portland and Jeff of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; her mother of Salem; two brothers, Scott Houser of Salem and Jim Houser of Spanaway, Wash.; a sister, Sandra Reitz of Albany; and one grandson.
A memorial service for Marcia is planned for Friday, January 22nd at noon at Berean Baptist Church, 1210 Chambers Street in Eugene.

Conrad Campbell

WALTERVILLE — Conrad Dana “Kelly” Campbell of Walterville died Jan. 15 of complications of a stroke. He was 80. A memorial service was held Jan. 17 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Springfield.
He was born May 20, 1929, in Eugene to Dan and Beatrice Bau Campbell. He and his wife, Dorothy, were married in May 1978.
Campbell served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Lane Transit District in 1991.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pamela Campbell Schmidt of Stilwell, Okla.; three sons, Gordon of Patterson, Calif., Greg of Modesto, Calif., and Dana of Sweet Home; two brothers, Ramon of Escondido, Calif., and Dean of Grants Pass; a sister, Carol Bouldin of Beaverton; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Joanne Loy Alford of Eugene died Jan. 14 of age-related causes at age 78. No service is planned.
She was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Eugene to Emery and Grace Vaughn Alford. She graduated from Eugene High School in 1950. She was disabled.
Survivors include numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Eileen Olson of Springfield died Jan. 14 of age-related causes at age 77. No service is planned.
She was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Omaha, Neb., to Walter and Frances Wakefield McMillen. She married Lowell D. Olson on June 9, 1952, in Eugene.
She attended University High School. She retired after 32 years with Pacific Northwest Bell.
Survivors include her husband and a daughter, Terre Olson of Eugene.

Mark Anthony Whitley of Eugene died Jan. 12 of complications from heart failure. He was 61. A celebration of life will be held later.
He was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Newark, N.J., to Mary Virginia Whitley. He married Maureen McCobb in 1979, in Maclean, Va.
He worked 35 years in construction and home remodeling, and owned his business, Mark’s Remodeling.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Krystal Wolf of Jackson, N.J., and Kolleen Whitley of New Brunswick, N.J.; a son, Kenneth Whitley of Eugene; a sister, Bonnie Deo of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Michael Agosta of Manchester, N.J.; and nine grandchildren.

Nellie Denton Wallace of Blachly died Jan. 9 of lung cancer. She was 90. No service is planned.
She was born July 8, 1919, in Ashville, N.C., to George and Margeret Sherill Denton. She married Jack Curtis Petersen, and he later died. She married Clarence Wallace Jr., July 2, 1977.
She was a college graduate. She was a stewardess, managed Capital Travel Agency and was a banker.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Zoe Brobst of Blachly; and a son, Jan Petersen of Atlanta.
