Karl Smart

Karl Smart of Eugene died Feb. 11 of Alzheimer’s at age 79. No service is planned.

He was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Lebanon, Mo., to Harry and Bettie Rodgers Smart. He married Virginia Larson on Dec. 25, 1983, in Eugene.

He served in the Army. He worked as general manager for ARA Services.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Mark Johnson of Hudson, Wis.; and two grandchildren. Arrangements by Andreason’s Cremation and Burial Services of Springfield.
