Robert Ogilvie

DORENA — A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 5, at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield, for Robert Scott Ogilvie of Dorena, who died Jan. 31 at age 37. His family chose not to list the cause of death.

He was born July 18, 1972, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Terry Ogilvie and Lynn Daniels Chambers. He married Kathie Moore July 18, 2006, in Las Vegas.

He was a mechanical technician and a pyrotechnician, working at fireworks shows including Thunder Over Louisville in Kentucky and at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Base.

Survivors include his wife; his parents; a grandmother, Grace Ogilvie; a daughter, Katelynn Rose Ogilvie; two sons, Christopher Gordon Ogilvie and Tristin Patrick Ogilvie; two sisters, Lori Ogilvie and Jennifer Morin; two brothers, Jeremy and Patrick Ogilvie; and a stepbrother, Ryan Shutt.
