Jeannette Zecevic of Springfield died May 23 of complications following surgery. She was 49. A memorial service is planned for later.
She was born April 17, 1961, in Eugene, to Donald and Marlys Lalie Fleming. She married Peter Zecevic. He died in August of 2007.
She was a caregiver for several years in nursing homes and worked as a bartender while living in Alaska.
Survivors include her parents; a daughter, Jennifer Stockton of Oregon; a son, Michael Stockton of Alaska; five brothers, Mike Fleming of Alaska, Donnie Fleming of Washington, and David Fleming, Eric Gates and John Gates, all of Oregon; and three grandchildren.

Neva Millican

The funeral will be held at noon Friday, May 28, at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield for Neva Mae Millican of Springfield, who died May 20 of age-related causes. She was 99.
She was born March 7, 1911, in Mulberry, Kan., to Lloyd and Justa Garrett Currant. She married Robert Millican in Eugene on Jan. 12, 1935. He died on April 18, 1977.
She attended one year of business college. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four daughters, Sherry Millican of Springfield, Kathleen Millican of Bend, Karen Coreson of Milwaukie and Sandra Welker of Mountain Home, Idaho; a sister, Cora Hart of Walla Walla, Wash.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, Darcie and Leslee, died previously.

Raymond Hanson

Raymond Hanson of Eugene died May 24 of age-related causes. He was 90. A private service is planned.
He was born Sept. 22, 1919, in Glendale, Calif., to Adolph and Clara Hawkinson Hanson. He married Patricia Wiswell on Nov. 28, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo. She died Dec. 4, 1996.
Hanson served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a self-employed electronics engineer, designing acoustical systems.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Hanson of Eugene and Kathy Hanson of Chico, Calif.; two brothers, Grayson of Napa Valley, Calif., and Byron of Oroville, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A son, Douglas Raymond Hanson, died Oct. 9, 1993.

Joseph Sclafani

Joseph Paul Sclafani of Eugene died May 22 of age-related causes and cancer. He was 90. No service is planned in Oregon.
He was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Aurelio and Jenny Catalano Sclafani. He married Claire Demato on Sept. 25, 1943, in Brooklyn. She died in August 1986.
He held a bachelor’s degree and worked in banking, in the collections division, CitiBank.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori Beyerlein of Eugene and Janet Rice of California; two sons, Robert of California and Paul of New York; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mildred A. “Millie” Hardenbrook of Springfield died May 18 of age-related causes. She was 92. A memorial service will be later.
She was born Oct. 19, 1917, in Goodland, Kan., to Robert and Alma Overlees Evans. She married John Hardenbrook on July 8, 1934, in Washington, Kan. He died in 1988.
She was a homemaker and worked at Swift Foods, dressing chickens.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Jahn of Florence and Beth Vogel of Florence; three sons, Harold of Veneta, Kevin of Hood River and John Jr. of Rockport, Wash.; a sister, Eileen Steward of Springfield; two brothers, Ken Evans of McPherson, Kan., and Jack Evans of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A son, Bob Hardenbrook, died previously.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center grounds in Roseburg for Ann Theresa “Annie” Cook of Eugene, who died May 18 at age 72.
She was born April 1, 1938, in Eugene to Mathew and Barbara Friess Koffler. She married Royal Cook on May 5, 1960, in Eugene.
She worked at the Emporium in North Bend for several years.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Scott of Frisco, Texas, Brad of Williston, N.D., Kelly of North Bend and Robert of Winston; three sisters, Mary Kokkeler and Rosie Andreason, both of Eugene, and Vangie Andreason of Brookings; and nine grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. June 5 at Cal Young Middle School in Eugene for Tess Inman Beach of Eugene, who died May 17 of cancer. She was 15.
She was born Sept. 10, 1994, in Little Rock, Ark. to Jennifer Inman and Michael Beach.
She was a sophomore at Sheldon High School.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Jennifer Inman and Frans deNes, now of Eugene; her father, now of Springfield; and grandparents Helen and Byron Inman of Eugene and Linda and Larry Beach of Springfield. She also leaves behind many, many friends. Tess was a very special person and will be dearly missed.

Emil M. “Brian” Yaroma of Springfield died May 11 of spinal injuries sustained in an accident four years ago. He was 38. No service is planned.
He was born Nov. 17, 1971, in Salem to Emil and Carol Kurpies Yaroma.
He worked as a roofer.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Carol and Bob Turner of Bend; two daughters, Kirstin Yaroma and Karlie Yaroma, both of Springfield; a brother, Danny of Springfield; and his life partner, Lyndsie Ramey.

Craig Steven Wells of Eugene died May 13 of cancer. He was 63. No service is planned.
He was born March 28, 1947, in San Bernardo, Calif., to William and Betty Wright Wells. He married Dyan Skundrick in 1969 in Ashland; They later divorced. He married Beverly “Becky” Nebbe on Aug. 23, 1980, in Eugene.
He attended Cantwell High School in Monterey Park, Calif. He worked as a welder and pipefitter at Johnson Crushers, Inc.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Shane and Cam, both of Eugene, and Bandon of Mesquite, Nev.; a daughter, Erin Wells of Mol, Belgium; a brother, Bill Jr. of Manhattan Beach, Calif. and eight grandchildren.

J.L. “Jay” Foust

J.L. Foust was born April 9, 1932 in Salem, Arkansas to John and Elsie (Jones) Foust. He married Marianne Sollinger on January 26, 1952 in Cashmere, Washington.
“Jay” graduated from high school in Cashmere and then went into the Air Force, where he was a mechanic. When he got out of the service he continued working as a mechanic and then found a job where he “didn’t have to get his hands dirty”–sales. He sold insurance for a while, then appliances and finally cars. His last job was working as a driver for Kendall Auto Group.
Mariann passed away August 12, 2005. On Monday, May 24, 2010 Jay joined her again. He was 78 and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his kids, JaeAnn Kohl of Westfir, OR, Michael Foust of Hawi, HI, Don Foust of Wenatchee, WA, Annette Skinner of Harrisburg, Oregon and Carol Foust of Eugene; and by his brother, Robert Foust of Hope, Alaska. Jay’s life was blessed with grandchildren Corrine, Craig, Jeremy, Christopher, Will, Michael and Mark and great-grandchildren Emma, Ayla, Izlynn, Katie, Chase, Rayden and Loki.
A celebration of Jay’s life will be held Sunday, June 6th at 1:00 pm at Alton Baker Park in Eugene. Those wishing to make a contribution in his memory may make it to Sacred Heart Hospice, 1121 Fairfield Avenue, Eugene OR 97402.
