Brent D. Carpenter
Wonderful father, husband, brother and uncle left us July 12, 2010. He leaves behind wife Sally, pets McKenzike and Misha, sisters Keitha and Shelle and mother Betty.
Brent loved helping others and served his community with pride. He had a great love for the outdoors and adventure. He will be missed and remembered by many.
Brent did not want a funeral and his wife would ask people to donate or walk to the Relay For Life.

Please share your thoughts ...

Sally – Kelly’s and my thoughts are with you. We grieve for your loss. Brent was a hero in the world. His opinion was the one that mattered more to me than any other during my “childhood” in Cottage Grove. If there is anything I can do, please just say the word.
Sally,
So sorry to hear about the passing of Brent. He served this community well. I enjoyed the years that I got to work with him. Great times were had at outside work functions with both him and you. Our prayers and sympathy go out to you. Take care.
Scott & Brenda Nelson
Brent and his family were a wonderful part of my life growing up. We were good friends and college roommates. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sally, Betty, Keitha and Shelle and all his family.
Sgt. Carpenter was an absolute pleasure to work for. Fair, insightful, and an ability to see “the big picture” in all situations. I’m happy to be able to say he made me a better police officer. Best wishes to the Carpenter family!!
Joe and I express our prayers and thoughts with you and Aunt Betty. Joe’s mom Bonnie Jo and Uncle Keith were brother and sister.
Please accept our love and prayers

Sally,
Rich and I just want you to know we are thinking about you and that our hearts ache for you and your family. Brent left an impression on many people. He had a great attitude about life and was probably one of the most practical people we have ever met.
Our Sincere Sympathy,
Rich Underdahl & Carmen Sundin
I am so sorry to hear of this loss to your family. My thoughts are with you, Sally, Betty, Keitha and Shelle. Maybe my mom was waiting at the gates for him. I am so sorry for your loss.
Sally,
I know there is nothing anyone can say at a time like this. Be you must know that Brent was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. I personally have very fond memories of the years we worked together. Many many good times and the laughter. Well, you know there was a lot of that going on. Sally, if ever there is something we might be able to do for you, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sally,
Brent was one of the nice guys. He took me under his wings when I first went to INET. I just got in from spending two weeks in Alaska seeing my grandchildren. You and Brent were in my thoughts and prayers every day. I am sorry for your loss.
Scott
Sally,
I’m so sorry to hear of Brent’s passing. Brent was a class act. Through the years at SPD he was a great co-worker, friend and supervisor. Brent always made us feel appreciated and respected and in the years I worked with him he never lost his empathy for others. Most of all I admired Brent for his absolute integrity. Even after leaving SPD I could always call on Brent for advice or information and it was always a pleasure to catch up. Becky and I both are saddened by your loss and you are in our prayers.
