Gladys Jacobs

Gladys E. Jacobs of Walterville passed away peacefully July 15 of age related causes.  She was96.

Gladys was born October 7, 1913 in Newton, Iowa.  During the Great Depression she moved with her family to Los Angeles, CA.  She married Paul Jacobs in 1934, and together they owned and operated a nursery in Inglewood, CA.  Gladys lived in Walterville with her nephew’s family during the past 16 years.

Her husband and son Donald preceded her in death.  Survivors include her daughter Sue Perkins of Captain Cook, HI, Granddaughters Erin Jacobs of Ontario, CA and Kristen Holland of San Francisco, CA, Grandson Craig Truman of Novato, CA, nephew Steve Denison and great-nephew Lon Denison of Walterville, OR.

Burial will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park Whittier, CA.
