WESTFIR — Harvey L. Tuchardt of Westfir died Aug. 11 of cardiac arrest. He was 65. No service is planned.
He was born Oct. 13, 1945, in Westfir to Herbert and Frances Bails Tuchardt.
He was in the Navy for 12 years and worked for Pope and Talbot.
Survivors include a brother, David of Sweet Home; and a sister, Margarite Tuchardt of Santa Cruz, Calif.

DRAIN — Theo A. Parker of Drain died Aug. 16 of age-related causes. She was 86. A memorial service is planned in Mesa, Ariz.
She was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Glendale, Ariz., to Henry and Rosanna Sipes Selliez. She married Gordon Parker on Nov. 1, 1942, in Lehi, Ariz. He died Nov. 22, 1987.
She graduated from high school in Mesa, Ariz., in 1942. She owned a bulk food store in Mesa.
Survivors include three daughters, Rosanna Neely of Drain, Tricia Gray of Gilbert, Ariz., and Pamela Crawford of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two sons, George Kinnaman of Arizona and Jerry Kinnaman of Utah; a sister, Bernice Brown of Rio Rancho, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Mesa City Cemetery in Mesa, Ariz. Arrangements by Andreason’s Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Divine in Springfield for Margaret Leona Glidden of Springfield, who died Aug. 16 of age-related causes. She was 77.
She was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Battle Creek, Mich., to Bertran and Bernice Hollingsworth Stevens. She married Richard Glidden on April 18, 1954, in Klamath Falls.
She held an associate degree and worked as a medical technologist for many years.
Survivors include a son, Marc of Springfield; a daughter, Judith Glidden of Springfield; a brother, Mike Stevens of Tacoma; and three grandchildren.
Private inurnment will be in Cottage Grove. Arrangements by Andreason’s Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to a memorial fund at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Divine.

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the St. Paul Center United Methodist Church in Springfield, for George Oliver Ten Eyck of Springfield, who died Aug. 18 of age-related causes. He was 84.
He was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Sandy, Ore., to George and Lillian Averil Ten Eyck. He married Nanette Pletchmy on Aug. 27, 1950.
Ten Eyck earned a bachelor’s degree from the Oregon College of Education in Monmouth and a master’s degree from Oregon State University. He worked as a junior high school math teacher in North Bend for 32 years.
Survivors include his wife, son Peter Ten Eyck, daughter Jana Ten Eyck of Westminster Md., son Toby Ten Eyck of DeWitt, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

SPRINGFIELD — Elizabeth Ruttencutter of Springfield died Aug. 14 of age-related causes. She was 88. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
She was born July 31, 1923, in Penobscot, Maine, to Roy and Delia Leach Tyler. She married Sherman Ruttencutter in 1944 in Providence, R.I. He died in 1995.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Paul of Portland; three daughters, Ann Bales of Springfield, Alice Wolf of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Cindy Peterson of Madras; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, John “Jacky” Ruttencutter, died previously.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Springfield for Max James Groesbeck of Eugene, who died Aug. 17 of age-related causes. He was 84.
He was born Dec. 23, 1926, in Harlan, Iowa, to Max and Marjorie Thogerson Groesbeck. He married Leona Foltz on July 17, 1947, in Jordan.
He attended Stayton High School and graduated from Albany High School. He worked at Rosboro Lumber Company.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dianne Foglesong of Longview, Wash., and Linda Lake of Salem; a brother, Kenneth of Wendal, Calif.; a sister, Marjorie Ehry of Dundee; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

COTTAGE GROVE — A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 17 at the family home at 31350 Kenady Lane in Cottage Grove for Butch Manning of Cottage Grove, who died Aug. 11 of complication from a stroke. He was 66.
He was born April 6, 1945, in Cottage Grove to Tollie and Katie Horton Manning.
He graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked as a truck dispatcher for about 20 years, then worked as truck supervisor for Eugene Sand & Gravel for five years.
Survivors include his wife and partner since May 1986, Geri Castle Manning; two daughters, Stacy Manning of Eugene and Kristy Fordy of the United Kingdom; a son, Travis of Cottage Grove; three stepdaughters, Rebecca Meadows and Crystal Stillman, both of Springfield, and Deanna Boggs of Albany; a stepson, Wade Cohn of Springfield; two sisters, Bonnie Manning of Eugene and Bobbie Egan of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was born July 5, 1945, in Sweet Home to Willard and Edith De Shaze Davenport.
She was a bindery worker for about 15 years.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Davenport and Matt Hermann, both of Springfield; three sisters, Pat Couturier and Diana Purdy, both of Cottage Grove, and Carol Kaufman of Redmond; a brother, Gary Davenport of Springfield; and three grandchildren.

J.R. Stults of Eugene, died Aug. 7 of a heart attack. He was 86. No service is planned.
He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Gerard, Ill., to Rufus and Mary Weiland Stults.
He worked as a Register-Guard route manager for more than 30 years. He owned J.R.’s Trade Center Pawn Shop.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Stults of Eugene and David Isaacson of Phoenix; a daughter, Linda Mustard of Stayton; a brother, Earl Stults; a sister, Mary Kelley of Springfield; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Norma, and two sons, Stephen and Roger Jr.

Stephan Seay of Eugene, died Aug. 5 of diabetes. He was 47. A cremation is planned.
He was born May 28, 1964, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Beverly Ferguson Seay.
He was a graduate of high school.
