SPRINGFIELD — A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 8 for Jeremy Joseph Carson of Springfield, who died Sept. 15 at age 23.
He was born June 16, 1988, in Lancaster, Calif., to William Perry Jr. and Deborah Carson.
He earned a GED and studied business for a year at the University of Phoenix.
He worked in construction and carpentry.
Survivors include his father of California; his mother of Salem and his stepfather, P.J. Martinez; a brother, Joshua of Eugene; three sisters, Jacqualyn Carson of Eugene, Juanita Martinez of Cottage Grove and Chrissy Perry of California; and his grandparents, Dave and Pat Carson, Gram Coralyn, Bobbi Perry and Donna and Tony Martinez.

Nicolle Rochelle “Niki” Cameron

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Armitage Park for Nicolle Rochelle “Niki” Cameron of Eugene, who died Sept. 18 of cancer. She was 41.
She was born Feb. 3, 1970, in Mountain View, Calif., to Jerry Winetrout and Sharon Lambert. She married Jack Cameron on Oct. 12, 1996, at Jasper Park near Springfield.
She graduated with honors from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in business.
She was part owner and manager of Maaco Auto Painting.
Survivors include her parents; her husband; two daughters, Jacalyn and Jolene; and a brother, Craig Winetrout of Eugene.

MARCOLA — A private service will be held for Fred Le Roy Braun of Marcola, who died Sept. 17 of complications from cancer. He was 72.
He was born Sept. 5, 1939, in Oakland, Calif., to Paul and Angelina Olivera Braun. He married Sara Rodman on July 8, 1962, in Eugene; she died Jan. 31, 2011.
He owned and operated RB Boats. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Braun of Eugene and Kay Stanley of Chicago; and a sister.

Betty “Joyce” Bollenbaugh

FLORENCE — Betty “Joyce” Bollenbaugh of Florence died Sept. 18 of age-related causes. She was 78. At her request, no service is planned.
She was born Nov. 22, 1932, in Fryburg, N.D., to Florein and Vera Braden Adams.
She graduated from Cleveland High School in Portland in 1950. She worked at the Florence Clinic for 17 years and Portland Auto Auction for 20 years.
Survivors include a son, Michael of Eugene; two daughters, Deb Schiermeister of Valdez, Alaska, and Kim Huff of Florence; two brothers, Leroy Adams of Los Angeles and Leonard Adams of Honolulu; a sister, Joan Batsch of Portland; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

SUTHERLIN — A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. today, Sept. 24, at The Father’s House in Sutherlin for LaVonne V. “Fritzy” Watson of Sutherlin, who died Sept. 19 at age 68. The family chose not to list the cause of death.
She was born Jan. 26, 1943 in Alexandria, Minn., to Walter and Elsie Raymo Jobe. She was a musician and worked in accounting.
Survivors include a son, Ted of Lane County; two daughters, Ellen Bodham of Lane County and Karen Callahan of Reedsport; three sisters, Elaine Holdridge of Snohomish, Wash., Gladys Busch of Minnesota and Lucille Holmes of Iowa; and four grandchildren.

Delpha I. “Debbie” Daggett

SPRINGFIELD — The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Sept. 24, at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield for Delpha I. “Debbie” Daggett of Springfield, who died Sept. 21 at age 74 of lung cancer.
Visitation will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pump Cafe in Springfield.
She was born Oct. 14, 1936, in Springfield to Byron and Lois McCormack Daggett.
She held a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree. She worked as a physical education teacher at Thurston High School and Lane Community College.
Survivors include a brother, Bill of Eagle, Idaho.

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 23, at St. John Episcopal Church in Springfield for Dorothe Mae Ireland of Springfield, who died Sept. 15 of age-related causes. She was 96.
She was born Aug. 9, 1915, in Springfield to Sherman and M. Gertrude Pitts Potter.
She married Cecil “Bud” Ireland on March 13, 1938, in Springfield. He died in 1982.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1933 and attended the University of Oregon for one year. She worked in the payroll office at Springfield Utility Board and as a doctor’s office manager.
Survivors include a son, Arthur of Springfield.
Private entombment was held Sept. 21 at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield. Remembrances to St. John Episcopal Church.
John Arthur “John Henry” Froehle

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Max’s Tavern in Eugene for John Arthur “John Henry” Froehle of Eugene, who died Sept. 12 of emphysema. He was 62.
He was born March 5, 1949, in Yokohama, Japan, to Blaire and Mary Froehle.
He graduated from Riordan High School in San Francisco. He served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman aboard the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam War. He worked as a bartender.
Survivors include a brother, Don of Roswell, N.M.; and two sisters, Anne McDonald of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Ellen Ron of Pacifica, Calif.

Lyle Eugene Larson

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Cross Road Assembly of God Church in Florence for Lyle Eugene Larson of Florence, who died Sept. 15 of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 73.
He was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Fairmont, Minn., to Grant and Ruth Larson Larson. He married DeAnna Menz on Aug. 8, 1958, in Hutchinson, Minn.
He graduated with a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Oregon in the late 1960s. He worked at the University of Alberta for 28 years as professor of marriage and family, sociology and social psychology.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Julie Larson of Florence; a brother, Gerald of Begrade, Mont.; and two sisters, Sylvia Anderson of Lakeville, Minn., and Betty Larson of Bloomington, Minn. A son, Mark Lyle Larson, died in 1981.

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at McKenzie Bible Fellowship in Leaburg for Paul Gene Bierschwale of Springfield, who died Sept. 13 of age-related causes. He was 79.
He was born June 24, 1932, in Harper, Texas, to Frederick and Alice Stovall Bierschwale. He married Margaret Gray in 1960 in San Diego. She died in December 2003. He married Norma Barkley on Oct. 2, 2004, in Leaburg.
He served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He served 18 years in the U.S. Army as a drill sergeant and master sergeant. He held a variety of jobs, including warehouse worker, hardware store clerk, stable manager and mill planerman.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dana Eck of Veneta and Dylan Gray of Cottage Grove; a stepdaughter, Cathy Kelso of Leaburg; two stepsons, Craig Barkley and Steve Barkley, both of Portland; a sister, Bonnie Shore of Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
