Janet N. Tarver of Eugene died Nov. 6 of complications of liver disease. She was 64. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
She was born June 16, 1947, in Seattle to Nick and Frances Muir Nikas. She married Steve Tarver on May 2, 1980, in Grants Pass.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Oregon State College in 1979. She worked as an artist and a photographer.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; two daughters, Gina Schulze of Eugene and Magnolia Perk of New Mexico; a son, Sean Nikas of Salem; and nine grandchildren.

Lyle D. “LD” Hinds of Eugene died Nov. 2 of progressive supranuclear palsy. He was 69. No service is planned.
He was born Dec. 19, 1941, in Chanute, Kan. He married Isolde Kohl on June 2, 1963, in Kansas.
He graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kan. He worked for Montgomery Ward for 30 years.
Surviors include his wife; two daughters, Monica Barry and Erika Hinds, both of Eugene; a sister, Joan Day of Ooltewah, Tenn.; and a grandchild.

Clifford “Kip Wolf” Wofford

OAKRIDGE — Clifford “Kip Wolf” Wofford of Oakridge died Nov. 4 of heart failure. He was 62. No service is planned.
He was born Feb. 5, 1949, in Marysville, Calif., to Herb and Dorothy Ayon Wofford. He married Angela Winters on Dec. 21, 1998, in Westfir.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a disabled veteran and a professional musician.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Justice LaPrade of Eagle Point, Idaho, and Char Wofford of Minnesota; two sons, Jesse of Oakridge and Christopher of Mustang, N.C.; a sister, Christopher Schaffer of California; and two grandchildren. A son, Clint, died previously.
Inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.

OAKRIDGE — Robert “Honda Bob” W. Skolaski of Oakridge died Nov. 5 at age 74. A memorial service will be held later.
He was born July 24, 1937, in Madison, Wis., to Paul and Irene Steensrud Skolaski. He married Lois Wright on Oct. 22, 1990, in Eugene.
He attended Lane Community College. He worked as a cook at several restaurants, including Country Pizza in Veneta.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Diane Sumnal of Volcano, Hawaii, and Debbie McNay of Snohomish, Wash.; and two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son, Bobby, died previously.

SPRINGFIELD — A memomorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Springfield Elks Lodge for Dale Wilson Shaw of Springfield, who died Nov. 6 of a cardiac arrest. He was 63.
He was born May 18, 1948, in Eugene to Harold and Fern Fry Shaw. He married Ronda Leppanen on July 18, 1970, in Eugene. She died on Jan. 23, 2009.
He earned an associate’s degree in RV technology. He served in the Army’s 101st Airborne Division. He worked as a meat cutter, a lumber grader and an RV technician.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberle Goldsmith of Claremore, Okla., and Rebecca Shaw of Portland; two sons, Michael Shaw of Tulsa, Okla., and Kevin Goldsmith of Claremore, Okla.; three sisters, Colleen Keller and Carol Johnson, both of Eugene, and Katherine Holt of Edmonton, Canada; and five grandchildren.

CRESWELL — A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at City of Destiny Church in Springfield for William Lon “Bill” Roberts of Creswell, who died Oct. 17 at age 73. The family chose not to list the cause of death.
He was born June 14, 1938, in Portland to Frank and Kathryn Knight Roberts. He married Nancy Schuitt.
He earned an associate of business degree from Umpqua Community College. He served in the Navy for eight years. He worked as a logger and as a restaurant manager. He also worked as the manager of Living Solutions and Jesco Club in Eugene.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Virginia Roberts and Stacey Lindgren, both of Springfield, Laura Chamoun of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Mary Crane of Portland; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A daughter, Laura Roberts, died previously.

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Central Lutheran Church in Eugene for Marie E. Huntington of Springfield, who died Oct. 27 of age-related causes. She was 86.
She was born March 7, 1925, in Webster, S.D., to Pete and Emma Olson Sakariason.
She worked as an administrative assistant for the Springfield School Board.
Survivors include three sons, Dave of Pleasant Hill, Glen of Redmond, Wash., and Dale of Springfield; a sister, Barbara Ninke of Minot, S.D.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He served in the Army as a paratrooper. He worked as a disc jockey and as a camera operator at a television station in Seattle.
Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Lindley of Springfield; two sons, Wayne of Beaverton and Chris of Canby; and six grandchildren.

OAKRIDGE — Colleen Echternkamp of Oakridge died Nov. 1 of cancer. She was 52. A celebration of life will be held later.
She was born Jan. 24, 1959, in Eugene to William and Charlene Coburn Echternkamp. She married Daniel Fredrickson on Dec. 31, 2001, in Springfield.
She graduated from Sheldon High School. She worked as a 911 dispatch operator, as a sales representative for Harry & David, and as a fire, water and storm damage technician.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; two sons, Billy of Virginia and Kenny of Bend; five stepchildren; two sisters, Denise Vaughn of Harrisburg and Cindy Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Jay of Bend; and two grandchildren and seven stepgrandchildren.
