Anselmo Becerra Dick Jr.

December 31, 1956 – May 25, 2026

Anselmo Becerra Dick Jr. was born on December 31, 1956, in Pecos, Texas, to Carmen Limon and Anselmo Dick Sr. He passed away peacefully at his home in Springfield, Oregon, on May 25, 2026, at the age of 69.

Anselmo, affectionately known as “Mo,” was a devoted Christian who lived a life centered around faith, family, love, and service to others. He was raised in Roseville, California, where he enjoyed track and field and spending time with friends. In 1979, Anselmo began his career in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country for more than 24 years before retiring in 2003 with the rank of Master Sergeant. His military career took him to many places in Europe and the Middle East. He eventually settled in Austria, where his first wife was from, and spent a portion of his career in Egypt. Mo also lived in Texas, California, and eventually Oregon. In his travels he developed a passion for culture, history, and the culinary arts.

On February 11, 2008, Anselmo married Linda Stromberg Garcia, beginning a loving partnership that continued for 18 years. Together, they enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including collecting antiques, fishing, cooking, gardening, attending church, and spending time together at home with their beloved animals and family. Their life together was filled with shared interests, companionship, and the comfort of being home with the people and animals they loved.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ingeborg Annelies, and his sister Claudia. Anselmo is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his stepchildren, Mic, Maile, Mandi, and Cammie; his grandchildren, Reese, Orion, and Zoey; and his great-grandchild, Grayson. His family will remember him with love and carry his memory with them always.

A memorial service will be held in Anselmo’s honor, where family and friends will come together to celebrate his life and share the memories that made him special. There will be an opportunity to remember, laugh, and reflect on the moments shared with Mo. Refreshments will be provided. Come join us in honoring his memory.
