Arnold "Bob" Callahan, 70, of Eugene, Oregon, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, with his family by his bedside.

Bob was born on May 8, 1956, in Lebanon, Oregon, to Hermis Junior Callahan and Lora May Martin. He attended North Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon, and made Eugene his lifelong home.

In 1977, Bob married the love of his life, Laura Elaine Mitchell. Together they built a beautiful family that remained the center of his life. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved, high up in the trees doing the work he enjoyed, or out on the Oregon dunes with his beloved Sammy girl.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hermis Junior Callahan and Lora May Martin.

He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Joy Callahan-Best and Teresa Flesher; his brother, Ronny Callahan; his children, Christopher and Jessica Callahan, Daun and Chris Bolling, Kimberley and Sam Espinoza, Alicia Callahan, and Ashley and Damon Callahan-VanCleave. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and an abundance of adopted children, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and love.

Bob's greatest legacy is the family he cherished and the countless lives he impacted. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
