Bobby “Bick” Turner 87, of Springfield OR passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his home on August 3, 2025.
He was born to Viena Stout Turner, in Sulfur City Arkansas on December 24, 1937. He was one of eight children in the family; they would later move to California. One of the many places he would live and travel.
In his lifetime, he worked at Hormel Meat packing company in California. He owned “Custom Welding Ornament Iron.” Eventually he would work and retire from weyerhaeuser in Spfld, OR.
He then spent his time building a home in Bend, OR. Traveling and enjoying retirement with his wife Carol turner, one of their favorite places being Las Vegas, playing bingo.
He was a master of many trades, a man whose hands could mend what was broken, and whose heart was always open to lend support. His children would say that he never fell short in love and made fatherhood look effortless. He had an uncanny ability to fix anything and build everything. One of his most talked about items being the RV he built out of an old logging crummy bus.
He is survived by his his daughter Kathy Cassidy, his son Danny Yaroma (Becky), and his brother John Turner (Judy). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his wife Carol Turner, daughter Shelly Turner, his sons Rick Turner, and Emil (Brian) Yaroma.
