1960 - 2024

Bruce Lyons, 64, went home to meet his Savior on May 26, 2024 after passing from congestive heart failure in Portland, Oregon.

Bruce Lyons was born to John and DeMaris Lyons on May 2, 1960 in Eugene, Oregon, the last of four children. He loved people and had a huge heart to help others. He was currently working at a local food pantry.

Bruce had a keen sense of humor and always had a smile or a joke to share. He loved Duck sports and Nascar. He had an inquisitive mind and enjoyed learning from the History and Discovery channels. He also loved traveling and spending time at the Oregon coast.

He is survived by his son, Danny Lyons of Eugene; a sister, Rhonda Robertson of Springfield; two nephews, Jason (Cynthia) Mencarelli of Las Vegas and Aaron (Angie) Lyons of Sherwood; two nieces, Amy (Mike) Miller of Sherwood and Christina (Aaron) Hunter of Eugene; along with many cousins near and far.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Steve Lyons; and a sister, Debbie Hunter.

Bruce was a friend to all. So many people impacted his life and touched his heart. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Northwood Christian Church, 2425 Harvest Lane, Springfield, OR at 1:00 p.m.
