Chad Lawrence Geib, of Marcola, Oregon, passed away on February 20, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born on October 6, 1971, to Dianne Rose and lived a life filled with joy, love, and meaningful experiences.

Chad brought immense love, laughter, and lessons of empathy to his family, friends, and community. He was known for his warm smile, love of dancing, infectious humor, and passion for music, movies, and wrestling. Chad was a remarkable person and an especially devoted and loving uncle.

He worked for 25 years at Goodwill Industries, where he was known and appreciated by many. Chad taught those around him far more than they could ever teach him. Despite the challenges of having an extra chromosome, he lived a full and vibrant life and made everyone better for having known him.

Chad is survived by his mother, Dianne Rose; his sister, Courtney Lagergren; and his cherished nephews, Diego and Desmond Gomez.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Public House in Springfield.

Chad will remain in our hearts forever.
