Chari Buell, 65, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at her home after a long illness. She was born in Sacramento, California and grew up Springfield, Oregon. She attended Thurston High School (class of 1979), and Lane Community College and worked as health and dental care billing and administrator and administrative assistant.

Chari was known by her family and friends as kind, nurturing and dedicated mother, grandmother, aunt and gracious friend to many. She loved traveling throughout North America and camping in the Pacific Northwest.

Chari was a passionate and follower of Jesus Christ, believing He is the Son of God, who came to Earth, died for humanity's sins, and was resurrected, offering salvation and eternal life through faith in Him, with the goal of living according to His teachings of love, service, and obedience to God.

During the four years of her cancer illness, Chari never feared death and instead faced it with remarkable courage and battled until the very end. She lived for her children and grandchildren and set an example of living with happiness even during the darkest moments. Chari is survived by her husband Mark, and children Heather, Jeff, CJ, Allison and Steven and a large extended family and friends.
