Don Anderson Coats, age 58, passed away on April 6, 2026. Born on June 18, 1967 to Ronald and Marcella Coats, Don lived a life defined by love, loyalty, and an unwavering dedication to those around him. Don is survived by his six children, Kayla, Cassie, Brianna, Brandon, DJ, and Chad; his partner, Tammy Porter and her family, Cheyenne, Craig, and Kayden; and his siblings, Kay, Rusty, Raymond, Tammy, Cheryl, Harlan, Shane, Rhonda, Becky, Shelly, Zane, Shad, and Kim. He also leaves behind 140 nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and friends.
A loved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Don was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unforgettable sense of humor. He was the type of person who could keep a room laughing with his stories, always ready with something funny or witty to share. Don would do anything for his family and friends, putting others before himself and offering support whenever it was needed.
Don worked as a private contractor in construction, where his skill, work ethic, and deep knowledge earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He truly was a wealth of knowledge and had an incredible ability to fix just about anything.
Outside of work, Don enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and barbecuing, but nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family. Whether gathered around a fire, working on a project, or simply visiting, Don’s humor was always present. He had a gift for storytelling that kept people laughing and brought joy to every moment. Don was a true joy to be around, and the moments shared with loved ones were what he cherished most.
Don will be remembered for his strength, his wisdom, his humor, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and dedication that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
