Elizabeth Irene Moffett (Betty) of Eugene Oregon passed away on December 20, 2025 at 91, peacefully of natural causes. She is preceded by her husband Robert (Don) Moffett.

Betty was born August 28, 1934, in Easton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Albert and Florence (Sampson) Mattes along with her sisters Anne and Helene.

Betty graduated from Easton High School in 1952, went to college earning her nursing degree from Easton Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. Betty moved to California to start her Nursing career where she met and married to her loving husband Robert (Don) Moffett December 31, 1960. Until Don’s passing, December 16, 2018. They lived in Pasadena CA for several years before moving to Eugene, OR with their son.

Betty is survived by her son Robert (Bob) Moffett and daughter-in-law Yolanda of Greeley, Co; her sister Helene grandsons Steven and Zack, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty loved ice skating, sewing, and knitting, and playing cards. She did not know a stranger. Betty and Don always had a pot of coffee on for anyone to stop by and visit.

Betty was a member of St. Paul Catholic church. Betty was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW 7384.

A memorial will be held February 2, 2026, at St Paul Catholic Church in the St. Paul room from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Internment will be held February 3, 2026, at Willamette National Cemetery.
