Elizabeth(Betty) Ann Stratten was born July 4, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, the third of 9 children born to the late Herbert and Anastasia Andersen. She graduated from St. Brendan’s Catholic High School in 1955.

Elizabeth married George Stratten in 1957 and together they had six children. They moved to Eugene, Or in 1974 after George retired from 23 years in the Air Force. She was a caregiver even before completing the CNA/Home Health Aid program at Lane Community College and enjoyed her career and work as a hospice volunteer until she retired. Elizabeth was known for her love of playing Bingo, thrift shopping, and her famous Italian spaghetti and braciole dinners.

Elizabeth is survived by her son George J.(Debra), daughters Beth, Catherine(Rick), Jennifer(Charlie), daughter-in-law Kristine, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George, brother James Andersen, infant son George L., and son James. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life service at St. Jude's Catholic Church 4330 Willamette St. on Saturday, June 13th at 11 am. A reception will be held after the service at Lakewood Vista Club House, 1800 Lakewood Ct. in Eugene.
