Enid Patten

Enid Joy Patten, 83, of Cottage Grove, died Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born to the late Everett and Amy Runk, January 25, 1942, Lorane, OR. Enid graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1960. She married the late Jim Patten at the Church of Christ church on Gibbs in Cottage Grove where they resided. They raised four children: Jimmy, Dan, Mark and Tammy and had five grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Nate, Eric and Krista. Enid was a skilled food provider canning produce and preparing wild game for preservation. She worked as both an Avon and a Stanley Home Products saleswoman for many years and had many clients that she loved to visit. She also worked at the Emporium freight center, the GMAC call center, and the Dollar Tree. In addition, she drove for Senior Companions and made close friendships with the clients she served. Her favorite activities included playing cards, board games and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed being around people and loved family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Please, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to PeaceHealth Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date at the Delight Valley Church of Christ.
