Floyd Thomas “Tom” King passed on July 17, 2026, at home with his devoted wife of 40 years, Sharon Kimble, and their loving son Adaam by his side. Born in Washington, Georgia, in 1935, he lived 91 years of a full and eventful life. He is survived by his children Thomas, Stephen, Barry and Julie, and several grandchildren, all who live in other parts of the country. He also leaves a large, extended, loving and admiring Oregon family.

Tom was a talented repair artist with a garage shop filled with tools and equipment collected over the years to use on all his projects. He was proud to have been the youngest journeyman plumber in the state of Maryland when he passed his state exam at age 20. He worked in plumbing and various trades for years, including his own plumbing business, and he retired as supervisor of Physical Plant repair, maintenance, and trades shops at Western Carolina University in North Carolina.

Tom was a quiet and loving person, a man of few words, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. No services are planned except for close family celebrations of life.
