Jack Mitchell

John (Jack) Munro Mitchell, surrounded by his family, passed away on May 14, 2025 in Springfield, Oregon from complications due to a car accident. Jack, 67, was born April 15, 1958 at the Army base in Augusta, Georgia. He grew up in Citrus Heights, California and ultimately settled in Oregon in the late 1980’s.

Jack had a lifelong love of riding and building motorcycles, with his Panhead Harley being the most favored; and worked on vehicles as a mechanic. He loved Rock n Roll music and attended many concerts throughout his lifetime. He became an ordained minister to marry two of the closest couples to his heart. Jack was always happy to give a helping hand to those in need. He created so many memories raising his daughter April and was proud to have her name her son after him. The bond he had with his grandson “Jack-Jack" will forever be remembered.

Jack is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughters’ Connie Snyder, Sara Donald, Sheila Storie, and April Mitchell; stepson Craig Round; multiple grandchildren; sister Cindy and brother-in-law Dan Burris; nieces Riley Nathan and Alyson Vega; father John Mitchell; and most beloved companion Monster, his Great Dane. He also leaves many other family members and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Hudak, stepfather Martin J Hudak, and his son Jackson Mitchell.

Although Jack’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. He will deeply be missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those whose lives he touched.
