It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathleen Marie Smith, who passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 15, 2026, at approximately 3:15 a.m., at the age of 75.

Kathleen was born in Buffalo, New York, and spent much of her adult life in Southern California before eventually raising her family in Oregon, where she built lasting memories and lifelong friendships.

Kathleen had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of love. She found joy in shopping, dancing, and spending time with animals, but one of her greatest gifts was making people laugh. Her quick wit, kind heart, and genuine compassion drew people to her wherever she went. She had a remarkable ability to make friends with anyone she met and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Above all, Kathleen loved her family. She is survived by her loving children, Tayler Smith and Ryan Smith; her brother, Ross Gibbs; and her cherished granddaughters, Jazmyne Smith and Nevaeh Smith. Her love, guidance, laughter, and unwavering care will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the countless memories she gave us and the love she shared so freely. Kathleen’s warmth, humor, and generous spirit will never be forgotten.
