Keith F. Fraid went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2026, passing away unexpectedly from lung cancer at the age of 64. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Keith was the youngest of 9 children. He moved to Oregon in 1987 and settled in Eugene, Oregon.

Keith was a man who loved with his whole heart and was a fiercely loyal friend. To Keith, a stranger was just a friend he hadn’t met yet. He had a profound heart for the homeless, who affectionately knew him as "Chicago," and he always looked for ways to help those in need. He found great joy in cooking for people, spending peaceful days out fishing, and he deeply loved music and liked to sing.

Keith is survived by his loving brother, Craig Fraid, and sister-in-law, Marsha. He is also survived by his nieces, Brittany and Heather, and his nephew, Alex. He leaves behind his niece, Bernadette, all of whom loved their Uncle Keith, and his cousins, Donna and Kathy, to whom he was just like a brother, as well as several other beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Kathleen (Ryan) Fraid. He was also preceded in death by his seven siblings: his brothers, Lance, Grant, Lonnie, Vince, and Marc, and his sisters, Robin and Cindy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at his favorite fishing hole.
