Kristine Kley

Kristine Kley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, school bus driver, cherished member of her community, made her transition to the great unknown surrounded by family in Leaburg, Oregon. Kristine passed away on June 21, 2024, on the Summer Solstice, under the Strawberry Moon, at the age of 77.

Kristine was known for her dedication as a school bus driver, transporting children to and from school for many years. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor made her a favorite among students and parents alike.

Kristine was also known for her strong will. Her determination and resilience were evident in all aspects of her life, from her career to her personal endeavors. 

A true lover of animals, Kristine had a special place in her heart for dogs. Her home was always filled with her beloved canine companions' joyful barks and wagging tails. As a devoted gardener, Kristine found solace and happiness in her garden. She spent countless hours nurturing her plants and creating beautiful, vibrant spaces that reflected her love for nature.

Kristine’s love for Christmas was contagious. She spread the warmth of the season to family and friends with her festive decorations, delicious holiday treats, and the spirit of giving that was embodied throughout the season.

Kristine is survived by her dedicated husband, Michael Kley; her children, Michele Cordell, Michael Bloom, Melinda Purves, Tamara Kley Contini, and Michelle Kley; her grandchildren, Steven Cordell, Taylor Stenberg Erb, Morgan Bloom, Asher Kley Contini, Ceridwyn Hawash, Trevor Purves, Tristram Purves, Hanaliese Bates, Bronwyn Purves; her great-grandchild, William Bates; her sister Suzanne Buck; and her loyal dogs, Ishi and Ruby, who will miss her dearly. 

Kristine Kley will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
