Leland “Lee” Smith

Leland “Lee” Smith, of Springfield, Oregon, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the age of 70.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Tara Smith; his beloved daughters, Cheryl, Laura, and Jennifer; his brothers, Bill Smith and Stephen Smith; his sister-in-laws, Dolores Smith and Linda Smith; his nephew, Ely Smith; and his seven treasured grandchildren, with whom he shared an especially close bond.
Lee retired from Williams Bakery in 2005 after many years of dedicated service. In retirement, he found great joy in the outdoors—fishing, hiking, and exploring nature. A passionate gardener, Lee took pride in nurturing his plants and had a lifelong love for animals. Above all, his greatest joy came from time spent with his loved ones telling stories and sharing adventures.
Lee will be fondly remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit, and deep love for the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
