Leslie James “Les” Bigbee, 73, of Springfield, Oregon, passed away at his home on February 5, 2026.

Born and raised in Marcola, Oregon, Les was a quiet, strong, and hardworking man who devoted his life to his family and friends. He proudly served in the United States Army and carried that same sense of dedication and integrity throughout his life. Les found great joy in fishing, hunting, gardening, and tending to beautiful flowers. He was known for his steady presence, gentle spirit, and unwavering work ethic.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Lynn Bigbee; his son, Phillip Bigbee; his daughter, Leila Schuck and her husband, Craig Schuck; and his cherished grandchildren, Savannah and Matthew. He is also survived by seven siblings and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Elsie Bigbee; his stepmother, Marge Bigbee; and three siblings.

Les will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and veteran. He showed his love not only through words, but through hard work, loyalty, and quiet strength. He leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who knew and loved him and will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Roseburg National Cemetery, 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd, Roseburg, OR 97471. A reception will follow at the Riversdale Grange, 4855 Garden Valley Rd, Roseburg, OR 97471. All are welcome to attend.
