Lovella Bryant Koffler Dalhaug 

October 9, 1928 – July 7, 2026

Lovella Dalhaug was born in Butte Falls, Oregon, to parents Arthur Herbert Bryant and Orpha Myrtle Powell on October 9, 1928. The family also lived in California for a short time, and in Monroe, Crow, and Eugene, Oregon. She was the youngest of five children. Lovella attended Crow Elementary School in Crow and Roosevelt Middle School in Eugene.

She married Leo Koffler on November 27, 1943, in Eugene. They had four children: Dennis, Roger, Diana, and Bruce. Leo and Lovella had been married 41 years when he died of cancer on December 23, 1984.

Leo and Lovella founded Koffler Sheet Metal, a rain gutter and metal fabrication business, together. She worked as the company bookkeeper. After they sold the business to Dennis and Bruce, she enjoyed being a Tupperware sales consultant for a couple of years.

In 1986, Lovella attended a dance at the Eugene Eagles Club with her sister Juanita, where they met Carl Dalhaug. Carl and Lovella were married on September 13, 1986. They both loved music and dancing. Carl was an accomplished accordion player and played several times a week at senior dances, or whenever and wherever he was invited to play. Lovella especially loved these events. Carl recorded two CDs of his accordion music, which are still occasionally played by friends and family. Lovella drove until she was 96 years old. Carl's music was always playing in the car while she was driving.

Lovella was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed her family, dancing at senior events, painting ceramics, playing cards, watching old western movies, and cooking. She was a great cook and would generously share her recipes. She was a dedicated member of the Fern Ridge T.O.P.S. Club (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) for over 65 years. She served as a club officer for many years and made scrapbooks of many T.O.P.S. events. She was also a member of the Eugene Eagles Drill Team for several years.

Lovella was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bud and Bill; two sisters, Margaret and Juanita; her first husband, Leo; son Roger; daughter Diana; and second husband, Carl. She is survived by sons Dennis Koffler (Gloria) and Bruce Koffler (Elaine), both of Junction City, Oregon; stepsons Bob Dalhaug and Curtis Dalhaug (Cassie), both of Warden, Washington; and Roger Dalhaug of Ketchikan, Alaska. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future time.

Lovella was a very special lady and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.
