Jul 25, 1949 — Mar 21, 2026
Marilyne Elizabeth Graf
“Meg” 7/25/49 – 3/21/26
Meg was born and raised in Oregon. Her parents, George and Isabell, nurtured and supported her in her dreams and aspirations. An important early influence was the love and enjoyment of music; it was valued and encouraged. Meg had many wonderful teachers including Mr. Roche, Jovita Hunt and Allen Nygaard.
Meg was a good student. In high school she was an exchange student to Mexico. She graduated with honors. She moved to Mexico to pursue post-secondary education, and she continued her musical pursuits as well. After living in Mexico quite a few years she moved back to the United States.
Meg lived in a number of places and worked at various jobs. She returned to this area several decades ago.
Meg was a lifelong learner and seeker of knowledge. She was very driven and disciplined. An avid and voracious reader, she also did some editing and translation. She was quite the storyteller.
Meg had an active interest in the theatre, participating in many aspects of it. She appreciated the individual and group efforts it takes to make the magic happen “Bring a story to life.” From newbie first timers to seasoned masters of the craft, she enjoyed them all.
Among her many interests and pursuits music was always a constant. She was involved in many, many aspects of it, always adding to her materials and skills. She traveled extensively in pursuit of her music and adventure.
During her lifetime Meg made and maintained many friendships. She was generous with her time, talent and resources. She had chameleon-like qualities and wore different things to different people. She liked to socialize, have a good time and laugh at humorous things.
Meg was a very proud “Cat Lady.”
Meg really liked vintage cars, and she could readily identify many of them.
Meg is survived by her daughter Erika and young adult grandchildren Stephanie “Jefi” and Alex.
Well-deserved recognition goes to Diana who went to great lengths to find them, welcome them and she continues to work on related matters.
Massive Thanks and Gratitude go out to Diana and each and every helper along the way in this journey.
Meg is also survived by a large number of people related in various ways from siblings and in-laws to distant relatives etc. (To clarify there are no true “step siblings” in the area. These are friends and colleagues.) Family, friends, colleagues and fans all have memories and experiences they will carry with them.
Meg’s longtime good friend Jim very generously provided a final resting place for her. He also designed and had made a very nice monument in her honor. Eternal Thankyou to him.
Meg’s Epitaph
“Just need another cup of coffee and one more tune.”
