In Loving Memory of Milinda Peters

November 30, 1970 – June 21, 2026

Milinda Peters, 55, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on June 21, 2026.

Born on November 30, 1970, to Loyce Peters, Milinda lived a life centered around love, family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She found peace in nature and loved spending time camping, sitting by the beach, fishing, and hunting. She had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed attending concerts by Kid Rock, Citizen Soldier, Pink, and many others. Among the songs closest to her heart was Tears in Heaven, a song whose words and emotion reflected the depth of love and feeling she carried throughout her life. She also loved watching Mask, a movie that held a special place in her heart, and her favorite flowers were carnations, whose beauty and meaning mirrored her own gentle and loving spirit.

More than anything, Milinda was devoted to her family. She had a caring heart and was always willing to help others, often putting the needs of those she loved before her own. She loved deeply, fiercely, and unconditionally. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched many lives and will continue to live on through the memories she created with those around her.

Milinda is lovingly remembered and survived by her children, Nikki, Michael, and Hannah; her cherished grandchildren, Talia, Nalani, Alessia, and Soffya; her mother, Loyce; her sisters, Alisha, Jenn, Tami, and Lorina; her aunt Vicky; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply.

Milinda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Katie; her father, Donny; her sisters, Tracy and Dawn; and her grandparents, Esther, Royce, and Polly.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Milinda's love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always.

Celebration of Life details will be announced at a later date. Please reach out to Nikki for additional information.

"The love she gave so freely became a blessing to so many; though our hearts ache in her absence, her memory and love will live with us forever."
