Patricia Englehardt

March 9, 1939 — August 30, 2024

Patricia Englehardt passed peacefully on August 30, 2024, with family at her side. She was 85. Pat was born on March 9, 1939, in Bowbells, North Dakota, to Russell and Marvel Cron. When she was very young, her family, and other relatives from North Dakota, moved to Washington, and eventually settled in Eugene, Oregon.

In 1956, Pat married her high school sweetheart, Hugh Englehardt, and they quickly became a young family of five with the addition of a son and two daughters. In 1964, the family moved to their newly built forever home located in a quiet, kid-friendly neighborhood just north of Coburg, where many warm and fun memories were made.

Pat worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime – one of which was in the 70’s as a beauty consultant at Merle Norman Cosmetics. She took pride in her clothing, hairstyles, make-up, jewelry, and, of course, cute shoes! A beautiful woman, both inside and out, and will be greatly missed.

Favorite pastimes included spending time with family and friends, camping, playing cards/dice games, watching funny movies with grandkids, pampering her flower garden, garage saling, tailgating, and watching Oregon Duck football games. Photos capturing many special moments were placed on the refrigerator and throughout her home for all to appreciate. Family looked forward to her yummy homemade turkey noodle soup and delicious coconut cream pie! She also loved listening to music – country, Motown, and classic rock & roll were favorites. She was kind, loving, smart, funny, engaging, cherished by all, and made everyone feel special.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Hugh, and her stepbrother, Tom Anderson. She is survived by her children, Anita Rice, Hugh Englehardt, and Terri Henry, and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, Russ Cron, sister, Esta Mapes, and brother-in-law, Bruce Englehardt.

A private celebration of life will be held sometime in spring of next year.
