Paulette Marie McLaughlin
July 1946 – January 2025
Paulette (Hilger) McLaughlin, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Eugene, Oregon, on January 25, 2025. Born in Oregon City, Paulette was the eldest of Steve and Alice Hilger's five children. The family eventually moved to the Eugene/Springfield area, where she graduated from Springfield High School in 1964.
Paulette is survived by her husband Larry; her children Stephanie Gardiepy (Ryan), Charlene Grosulak (Gerry), Emil Anheluk (Deb) and Laura Howell (Scott); her sisters Jeannie Drews, RoseMarie Gregory and Louise Morison; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stephen “Bud” Hilger II.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2, at 2p in the Garden Room of First Baptist Church, Eugene (3550 Fox Meadow Rd). Light refreshments will be served.
