Richard Masat passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones on Sunday, December 8th at the age of 78. Richard was born on December 16th, 1945 in Brunswick, Nebraska. He married his best friend Judy on June 15th, 1968 at St. Alice Catholic Church in Springfield, OR. Richard was in the Navy from 1965-1968 as a Plane Captain and then went on to work for Sears for 30+ years before retiring in 2005.
Survivors include his wife Judy, daughters Cindy Gering and Bobbie Magathan, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his brothers Jim and Kenny and his sister Margie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ann Masat and brothers Donnie and Gordon.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, December 21st. from 12:30 - 4pm at the VFW in Springfield, OR.
