IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert
Sbragia
November 20, 1942 – February 8, 2026
Robert J Sbragia 83, of Eugene, Oregon passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 8th, 2026. Robert Giovanni Sbragia was born in Lucca Italy to Gina and Aladino Sbragia. He moved to America in 1958 and settling in Healdsburg, Ca with his family. Shortly after moving he met the love of his life Linda G. Cox later to be married. Together they had 4 children Susannah (Suzie as Robert called her) Robert Jr (aka Robbie), Steven, and Anna. Even after separation Robert and Linda stayed close friends and even moved next door to each other.
Robert was a hardworking man of many trades. No job was to hard for him. He always had to be doing something to keep him busy and that was outside. He was a heavy equipment operator driving big Cat Tractors. He was a vineyard and field worker and foreman. Eventually he owned and operated his own business in Sonoma County California that he was so proud of what he called Sbragia Septic Service.
Robert was a hard working very stubborn Italian man. Once his mind was set on something nothing was changing it. He was so proud of his Italian heritage. Always telling stories about growing up in Italia or listening to Italian music. In his younger years he worked hard alongside his dad, mom and siblings to contribute to the family. Not only working beside them but making wine with them. He was always the life of the party. A man of many jokes and stories. If he was not out at work, he was always outside building something or fishing or doing yard work. If you couldn't find him in the yard you would surely find him at the ocean fishing for sturgeon or climbing the cliffs for abalone. Or out on the lake in his boat with friends, a beer in one hand and a fishing pole in the other and jokes rolling off his tongue. He loved music and good parties with lots of friends, family, and food.
In his retirement he moved from his long life in Healdsburg to Willows Ca to be closer to family. He then moved from Willows to Eugene OR to be near his eldest daughter Susie. He had the best green thumb and planted beautiful gardens. There was not a tree he didn’t know how to take care of or prune. He created wonderful wooden birdhouses and other handmade wooden objects and sold them. He would watch his favorite old westerns with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Or his tried-and-true TV shows from Gunsmoke to Threes Company, Alf, Mamas family, and so many more. He really enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles with friends and family. His laugh and love will be missed.
Robert is survived by his two daughters Susannah Sbragia, Anna Sbragia; His two Brothers Guilio Sbragia and Quinto Sbragia; His 3 grandchildren Amber Burns, Ashley Williams, and Poe Sbragia. And many nieces and nephews.
Robert is proceeded by his parents Aladino and Gina Sbragia. His siblings Anna Sbragia, Gino Sbragia, Giovanni Sbragia, Pietro Sbragia, Cherubino House. His Ex-wife Linda Cox. His Son's Robbie Sbragia and Steven Sbragia. And many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew.
